Lord Mayor thanks Selly Park South for Covid-19 support

Birmingham's Lord Mayor has written to thank the Selly Park South Community Response to Covid-19 team for their work supporting the local community through the pandemic. His letter reads

'Thank you for drawing to my attention the wonderful work of your group of volunteers in response to the pandemic. You say that they have been responsible for supporting the local community with shopping and prescription collection, delivering more than 1500 food parcels and are still collecting over 100 kg of food per week for the local food bank. This is essential work and I am sure that it is improving the lives of hundreds of people in your community. Please pass on my heartfelt thanks to everyone in your group, you really are all heroes in these challenging times. I hope you, your family, friends and everyone at the Selly Park South Community Response Covid 19 Group are well.'
